1. About these Terms 

These Terms of Use apply to access to and use of the website operated by Bokmaan B.V., trading as Bokmaan Consulting, at www.bokmaan.com and any related webpages operated by Bokmaan B.V. (the “Website”). 

By using the Website, you are required to comply with these Terms. 

These Terms apply only to the use of the Website. They do not govern professional services provided by Bokmaan. 

Any professional services are governed by the applicable engagement letter, proposal, quotation, statement of work, other written engagement and Bokmaan’s General Terms and Conditions for Services. 

2. Permitted use 

You may use the Website for lawful informational and business purposes, including: 

• reviewing information about Bokmaan and its services;  
• submitting a genuine enquiry;  
• requesting information or a quotation;  
• accessing Bokmaan’s legal and privacy information; and  
• subscribing separately to Bokmaan’s occasional news and business updates.  

You must not: 

• use the Website for any unlawful, fraudulent or misleading purpose;  
• submit false, inaccurate or unauthorised information;  
• impersonate another person or misrepresent your authority;  
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, its systems or associated accounts;  
• interfere with the operation, security or availability of the Website;  
• introduce malware, viruses, harmful code or automated attacks;  
• use scraping, crawling or automated extraction tools without prior written consent;

4. Enquiries and client engagements 

You may contact Bokmaan through the Website contact form, by email or through other communication channels made available on the Website. 

When submitting an enquiry, you must provide information that is accurate and that you are authorised to provide. 

Submission of an enquiry does not establish a professional, advisory or contractual relationship with Bokmaan B.V. and does not oblige Bokmaan to accept or respond to an engagement. 

A client engagement is established only when an engagement letter, proposal, quotation, statement of work or other written engagement has been accepted by Bokmaan and the client in accordance with the applicable terms. 

Personal data submitted through the contact form are processed for the purpose of reviewing and responding to the enquiry, in accordance with Bokmaan’s Privacy Notice. 

You should not submit passports, BSNs, identification documents, health information, criminal offence information or other sensitive personal data through an initial Website enquiry unless Bokmaan has specifically requested the information and provided an appropriate method for submitting it. 

An email address submitted through a service enquiry or contact form will not be added to Bokmaan’s newsletter list solely because an enquiry has been submitted. 

5. Newsletter and updates 

Visitors may separately subscribe through the Website to receive occasional news, updates and business insights from Bokmaan B.V. 

By submitting an email address through the newsletter subscription function, you consent to the use of that email address for this purpose. 

The newsletter may be issued irregularly. 

Where the newsletter has been inactive for an extended period, Bokmaan may request confirmation that the subscriber wishes to remain subscribed before further newsletters are sent. 

You may withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time by: 

• using the unsubscribe method included in a newsletter email; or  
• contacting Bokmaan at info@bokmaan.com.  

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of email communications sent before the withdrawal. 

Newsletter subscription information is processed in accordance with Bokmaan’s Privacy Notice.

Bokmaan B.V. does not guarantee that the Website will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, secure or free from harmful code.

Changes to these Terms do not apply retroactively and do not amend any rights or obligations agreed under separate client engagement documentation. 

14. Governing law and jurisdiction 

These Terms and the use of the Website are governed by Dutch law. 

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or use of the Website shall be submitted to the competent courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, without prejudice to any mandatory rights or jurisdiction rules that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain valid and enforceable. 

The invalid, unlawful or unenforceable provision shall be interpreted or replaced, to the extent possible, with a valid provision that most closely reflects its original purpose.
